Note: Due to the vertical album binding, pages do not open as flat as the horizontal or square formats.
Typical Page Content
A typical Memador album includes between 25 to 50 double sided pages, but we regularly print albums with content upto 70 pages / 140 sides. There is also an inexpensive option for printed transparency pages at the front and back of the album. Horizontal albums are the most popular, consequently we offer the widest range of covers for them.
The standard Memador album is supplied in a Matt or Glossy finish. Optionally at a surcharge the pages can be supplied with a special Matt UV and scratch protected lamination or with Canvas pages.
Software & Design Guidance
Option 1: If you design your album using "MemadorPro" design software, as well as enjoying a quick and logical workflow, each image is colour corrected using Memador's ProColor advanced algorithms. This ensures a consistent colour balance across all images in your album.
Option 2: If you have designed your album using Adobe Photoshop or any other design program, you can easily place the JPEG spreads in the "MemadorPro" software. These should be designed as double page spreads with single page designs for the first and last page in the album. You can load these into the MemadorPro gallery and easily “Drag & Drop” each page/spread onto the correct position. You can also create opening and closing transparencies for your design.
Option 3: You can also send to us just the JPEG files provided that the design was done according to our size instructions at 300 dpi. The names of the files need to be the album page numbers and saved in consecutive order ( 1.jpg, 2.jpg...)
For options 2 and 3, please colour correct your files using calibrated monitors in sRGB profile. The standard Memador album pages are supplied in a Matt or Gloss finish laminate. Optionally, at a surcharge, the pages could be produced with a special UV filtering Matt finish with scratch-protected lamination or with Canvas effect lamination on the pages.
